Avast ye pirates! International Talk Like A Pirate Day is Saturday, Sept. 19. The day was first recognized in 1995 and gives everyone, including landlubbers, a chance to talk like a pirate. Besides sounding cool in front of your friends, you could also score some treasure. Krispy Kreme has announced that participating stores will give away one free original glazed doughnut to each person who shows off their pirate vocabulary. Those who come fully dressed as a pirate will receive a free dozen.

On Sunday, Sept. 13, Miss Georgia, Betty Cantrell, became Miss America. The 21 year old took home the crown as well as a $50,000 scholarship. Now, this is only the second time in Miss America history that a Miss Georgia has won the title. Neva Jane Langley Fickling was the first Georgia winner, taking the crown in 1953. Cantrell is a native of Warner Robins, Georgia. She is currently studying vocal performance at Mercer University in Macon.

Get those credit cards ready because Tanger Outlets has announced that the second phase of the Tanger Outlets Savannah will be coming soon. A few stores have already been confirmed in the newest phase, including H&M and Forever 21. Phase II will be set directly across the street from the first set of stores, which opened in April of this year. Shoppers can expect the new phase to open by May 2016.
